Shade Creator is no longer available, however you can use the White fabric paint to acheive the same results.
Simply mix a small amount of white with another colour to create a lighter shade (e.g. white and red to create pink.)

Evergreen, Terracotta and Storm Grey colours are no longer manufactured. We have a few of each of these in stock, but once gone, we will not be able to get any more.
There are only 2 colours left in the old Machine Dye packaging (Stone and Yellow). These will not be available again once sold. If you require either of these colours, do not delay ordering, as we only have a small quantity of each left.
We do not have any Satin Shoe Dye left, and as this product is no longer manufactured, it has been removed from the site.
We continue to despatch orders as normal, however some deliveries may still be delayed, as the industrial action last week created a large backlog at many Royal Mail sorting offices.
The previously mentioned upgrade has been completed.
Our computer systems are being upgraded over the weekend of 13th and 14th October 2007. As a result of this, the website may be unavailable for a short period.
A further notice will be posted here when the upgrades are completed.
Industrial action starting on 4th October will result in deliveries being delayed. We will despatch items as usual, but if you need items for a particular date or event, please order them well in advance.

Two new colours in Machine Dye are now available - Amazon Green and Rosewood Red.

Due to technical issues relating to our domain name (chaffinch.com), some people may have had difficulty accessing the site over the last few days. This problem has now been resolved.
All orders placed over the UK bank holiday weekend have now been despatched.
Due to the UK Bank Holiday on Monday 28 August, any orders placed over the weekend will not be despatched until Tuesday 29 August.
The site has been entirely upgraded. As well as a new design, there are several new features. You can now enter a separate delivery address for each order, options for names have been expanded, and you can subscribe to our new monthly newsletter for special offers and product updates.
Royal Mail have recently changed the way in which mail is priced. Most postage rates on the site remain the same, however we have had to increase postage for Shoe Colours when ordering a small quantity of this item. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this - the prices charged do reflect the actual cost to us.

The Machine Dyes are currently being replaced with a new 40 degree range. The usage instructions are essentially the same, however the new range is used at the lower temperature of 40 degrees. We still have stock of some colours in the previous 60 degree range, but once these are sold, all machine dye orders will be the new 40 degree type.
